Ankle pain and a tendency toward ankle sprains are both issues that are usually caused by weakness or by repetitive strain to the cartilage & soft tissues. Many seemingly straightforward injuries to the ankle occur because of pre-existing weakness. Some people get heaps of ankle sprains and others don’t get any after all.
